One of our guiding principles here at Little Rooms is being able to give back to the community. We work with other businesses here in Newcastle to provide everything we need for a Little Room. From painting to plumbing, every part of a Little Room supports local businesses. These relationships with our suppliers and clients are fundamental to the business.
One mission is to provide housing for the homeless in the Newcastle LGA. We'll do this by using the profits from our Little Rooms sales.
In 2020 there were an estimated 1814 people in Newcastle assisted by Specialist Homelessness Services, and 2700 homeless in the Hunter New England Area. The rising rent across NSW is one of the reasons for this.
Our goal is to create a Little Village consisting of modular rooms that cater to everyone’s needs. From bathrooms, accommodation and recreational facilities, with everything based on our Little Rooms. We want to see an end to homelessness in the Newcastle LGA. It's a driving factor behind our work ethic and motivation here at Little Rooms. Everyone has the right to safe housing and the dignity that comes with it.
